Narskuttelu Oy has won the "Business for Kitee" category in the Start Me Up business idea competition organized by Business Joensuu. The winning idea was a natural dietary supplement designed to support gut health.

The "Business for Kitee" category was won this year with xylitol granules developed for gut health. A significant portion of the population suffers from digestive issues, with 8-26% of healthy adults experiencing recurrent problems. This dietary supplement stands out from competitors due to its composition and manufacturing process. Product development is ongoing, with the goal of bringing the xylitol granules to market within a year.

Business Joensuu's Start Me Up business idea competition has been held since 2000. Narskuttelu Oy has participated in the competition for four years with six different business ideas. One of these products was a xylitol lollipop, which did not make it to the judging stage, but has been the only product submitted to the competition that has generated revenue.

This year's Start Me Up business idea competition grand prize winner is VitalSigns Oy.
